Robert C. "Bob" Gale's Obituary
Robert C. “Bob” Gale, age 70, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 following a courageous battle with ALS. He was born July 30, 1948 in Muskegon to Harold and Peggy (Trebilcock) Gale. Bob was a 1966 graduate of Orchard View High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. On April 26, 1974, he married the former Vickie L. Johnson in Muskegon. Bob worked for Eagle Alloy for over 25 years prior to retiring in 2007. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, was an Oakridge sports fan, and especially loved his time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. His grandchildren will always remember their time spent at Grandpa’s Daycare. SURVIVORS include his wife, Vickie; two children: Stephenie (Dustin) Vanderputte, Kimberly (Gary, Jr.) Pastor both of Egelston Twp.; four grandchildren: Brianna and Jasmine Pastor, Corey and Rylee Vanderputte; two brothers: Aubrey (Karen) Gale of Muskegon, Eric Gale of Florida; two sisters: Claudia (Mike) Shannahan, Denise (Paul) Szczesny both of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Beverly Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Clifford Johnson. SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 25, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS to Hospice of Michigan will be appreciated.
