Robert William Goossen, Jr. (Bob) age 73 passed away Sunday evening in Grand Haven. He was born in Grand Rapids on June 5, 1945 to Robert and Agnes (Hager) Goossen Sr. He graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School in 1963. Read Obituary
Jayne I was so sad to hear of Bob’s passing. The one thing I will always remember is how apparent the love and respect you shared for each other was. Your children and grandchildren have great roll models to follow. It is a legacy to be very proud of. Cheryl and Smitty Smith.

When people drive by our home at 1001 S. Ferry Street they often notice the amazing brick work and the window above the front door. Bob entered our life when we were working to change the 40 year old home (at that time) and make it "modern". He spent time in conversation with us, patiently listening and then figuring out exactly what we wanted and how he could help. Our entryway was a dream that he made reality and we are forever grateful. Several years later we needed new stonework on our fireplace and while Bob was not taking on that kind of project (his words) he agreed to work with us again. He and his son came and turned a very old and tired fireplace into the showpiece that it is in our home. I am sure that there are many, many stories like ours. But I wanted an opportunity to let Bob's family know how much we appreciated his skill and his patience and his willingness to help make our dreams come true. He made our home a better place and we are grateful that we worked with him. May God grant you peace in this difficult time. Kent and Bonnie Suchecki

Bob and Jayne are very special people in my life. My late husband and I first met them at Timberlake RV Resort about 18-20 years ago. Such an outstanding friend. Bob never hesitated to help or give me good advice. He loved laying on the beach, talking to his camping friends, driving around the campground in their golf cart and making people smile. He always stopped to say “Hi”. Bob will be missed by many people.
