Mr. Robert H. "Bob Clover's Obituary
Mr. Robert H. Clover, 88, passed away at his home Thursday, May 22, 2014. Born August 28, 1925 to Ward and Maude (Beck) Clover, he was a life resident of Muskegon. Bob married the
former Sharon Hyatt on September 4, 1987 in Newaygo, and she survives him. He was a retiree of Bennett Pump Co., and was a well-known race car driver, driving car #41 at every area track for many years. On November 4, 2001 he was inducted into the Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame. His SURVIVORS include his wife, Sharon; children: Jan (Ron) VanHassel, Bobbie Buys (Kissling), Jack (Nikki) Clover, Lillian (Savino) Rodriquez, Donald “Bud” (Tammy) Lappo, Delinda Lappo, and Jonathan (Amanda) Kuhlman; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (James) Vaandering; and a special sister-in-law, Carol Norton. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held for Bob at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at The Sytsema Chapelof Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.; 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442; phone 231-726-5210; where VISITATION will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the family’s expense fund or to Mercy VNS would be appreciated.
