Robert H. "Bob" Hoffius' Obituary
Robert H. "Bob" Hoffius, age 93, passed away Friday, June 28th, 2024, and went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born July 14, 1930, in Muskegon, Michigan to Henry and Nellie (Pettinga) Hoffius. Robert was a charter member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church, where he formerly served as an Elder. He owned and operated Hoffius Furniture and Upholstery. On October 21, 1955, he married the former Doris Vanderweele and together they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Survivors include his son, David Hoffius of Spring Lake and daughter Janet (William) Sorensen of Norton Shores; 6 grandchildren: Susan (Rick) Pellegrom, Lisa (Charlie) Brey, Kari Hoffius, Kelly (Garrett) Dunton, Jenna Hoffius and Nicklas Hoffius; 7 great- grandchildren: Mia, Avery and Molly Pellegrom, Nina, William and Emersyn Brey and Xenia Owen. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Doris, son John, and sister, Dorothy Camp. A Funeral Service for Robert will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 973 W. Norton Ave., Norton Shores, MI 49441. A visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior at the church. Burial will be at Mona View Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Hoffius may be made to Western Michigan Christian High School or Harbor Hospice Foundation.
