Robert D. Howe's Obituary
Robert D. Howe, age 86, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021. He was born on January 11, 1935, to Raymond and Dorotha (Chrisple) Howe in Muskegon, MI. Robert proudly served in the United States Army National Guard. On February 24, 1956, he married the love of his life, the former Elaine Feltman, and they spent 65 loving years together. He worked for 35 years as a machinist at Sealed Power until his retirement. Robert loved singing, bowling, camping, traveling, game nights, puttering around in his garage and motorcycle trail riding. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Howe; children, Gregory (Susan Redman) Howe, Janet (Michael) Thomas, Barbara (Daniel) Prus; grandchildren, Alyson (Cody) Vela, Emily (David) McCrary, Nathaniel Prus; great-grandchildren, Cailen Vela, Adelaide McCrary; brother, William (Arlene Schei) Howe; and sister, Mary Ann (Edwin) Compton. He was preceded in death by his parents. VISITATION with Robert’s family will take place on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444. A FUNERAL SERVICE will take place on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Connection Point Church, formerly known as Eastwood Church of the Nazarene (2270 S. Mill Iron Rd.) at 11:00 AM with visitation taking place an hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
