Robert L. Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Robert L. Johnson, age 87, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born on June 14, 1928 to A. Herbert and Elna (Pearson) Johnson and had lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Robert married Helen Mullally in Muskegon and worked 52 years for Teledyne Continental Motors prior to retiring in 1998 as a marketing manager. He served his country proudly in the army during the Korean War. Helen and Robert were life members of Lakeside United Methodist Church. Robert enjoyed music, dancing, fine food, and photography. He was also a talented artist, but foremost was always dedicated to his family. SURVIVORS include his 5 children: Mark (Diana) Johnson, Eric (Kimberly) Johnson, Kurt (DeJay) Johnson, Ann Johnson and Adam (Mariliz) Johnson; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Peggy Billingsley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen and his brother, Richard. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11 A.M. Monday, April 11, 2016 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Rd., Muskegon, Michigan 49445 with Pastor Bill Uetricht officiating. VISITATION will be Sunday 3-6 P.M. at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231)798-1100 and also 10-11 A.M. at the church, prior to the service. Burial will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery.
