Robert Stephen "Bob" Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Robert Stephen “Bob” Johnson, age 72, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012. He was born October 2, 1939 in Muskegon to John and Mary (Fuller) Johnson and had been a life resident of the area. Mr. Johnson was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam era. He was a member of Temple United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge Lovell Moore #182, where he achieved 32nd Degree Mason statice, and the American Legion in Lansing. He also enjoyed taking pictures of his property up north in Mesick, MI. Mr. Johnson worked for Howmet for 39 ½ years before retiring in 2002. SURVIVORS include his brother, John (Jackie) Johnson, Jr. of Grand Rapids; nephew, Mark (Jane) Johnson; niece, Linda (Tom) DeYoung; great nephews and nieces, Jason (Kelly) Johnson, Tim (K.C.) Johnson, Sarah (Marc) Hong, Jeffrey DeYoung; great-great-nephew, Grady Johnson; and his beloved miniature dachshund, “Lady”. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would also like to thank Dr. Richard Huntley and his wife, Heidi, for their friendship and care over the years. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at a later date.
