Mr. Robert Anthony Krywicki's Obituary
Mr. Robert “Bob” Anthony Krywicki, age 70, called home Monday, January 16, 2017. Robert was born February 12, 1946 to Anthony and Amelia (Schmitt) Krywicki in Muskegon. On June 10, 1967, he married the love of his life, Kay Ann Wolfe. Robert served his country in the 1st Division of the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. After his brother was killed in action, Robert was reassigned as an escort for fellow fallen soldiers who were brought home for burial. Soon after his honorable discharge in 1968 he pursued his passion for working the land, raising farm animals, and tinkering with farm implements while living most of his years near his boyhood home. Bob’s love for God was enriched through his church attendance with his family finding times of worship at St. Michael’s Church - Brunswick, Cedar Creek Evangelical Covenant Church, and Oak Crest Church of God. His generous love for family was evidenced in his firm, caring, and protecting parenting of his children and grandchildren. Always in harmony with his wife, he fulfilled a dream of long haul truck driving while simultaneously designing and then operating Country Scoop & Deli near Fremont. Just as honorable was the attention given to caring for dozens of individuals in his family home as Friendly Haven Adult Foster Care over the past 41 years. Bob demonstrated the ability to build barns and buildings as well as fix anything that presented itself, often preferring to recruit a family helping hand or two. He loved and cherished his family above all and will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Kay Ann; his daughters, Denniell Johnson of Holton, Tanya Krywicki of L’Anse, MI, and Lori (Christian) Beckley of Muskegon; grandchildren, Chloe, Rebecca (Jesse), Courtney, Joshua Jr., Abby, Tristan, Jasmine, Tony, Kara, Taylor and Joseph; brother, Richard Krywicki of Holton; brother-in-law, Doug Wolfe of Kalamazoo; brother-in law, Jack Wortelboer of Twin Lake; and several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph; sister, Geraldine; sister-in-law, Jean Krywicki; and father and mother-in-law, Frank and Madge Wolfe. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor Jim Bob Thornton officiating and Full Military Rites afforded under the auspices of the VFW Muskegon County Council. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM). Burial will be made in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or The Christian Missionary Alliance.
