Robert C. "Bob" Lindback's Obituary
Robert C. “Bob” Lindback, age 76, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at his home. He was born March 31, 1946 in Muskegon to Elmer and Maxine (Nelson) Lindback and was a lifelong resident of the area. Bob graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School Class of 1964. He earned his journeyman certificate for sheet metal. On August 21, 1965, he married Karen A. Young in Muskegon and she survives him. In 1972, Bob founded Lindback Sheet Metal, Inc. and he retired in 2012 when he sold the company. Bob was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church at Saint Mary of the Woods Chapel for many years. After retirement, Bob found joy in taking care of his home in Twin Lake and tending to his English garden, vegetable garden and orchard. Survivors include his wife, Karen A. Lindback; his son, Thomas Robert (Shoane) Lindback; son-in-law Brian Stevenson; 5 grandchildren, Morgan Lindback, Michael Stevenson, Emily Lindback, Andrea Lindback, Ryan Lindback; and 2 sisters, Doris Yerkie and Sue Weissflog. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Stevenson; his parents; and 1 brother, Jeff Lindback. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Saint Mary of the Woods Chapel (150 Church St., Twin Lake) with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Muskegon.
