Robert L. "Bob" Liskey's Obituary
We sadly announce the passing of Robert L. “Bob” Liskey on Saturday, April 27, 2024, after a short illness. Bob was born on February 6, 1942, in Detroit, MI to Gregory and Cecilia (Jaunese) Liskey. He spent his school years in Montague, MI where his family owned the Wayside Inn.
Bob joined the Navy after high school. He also served his community on the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department for 30 years. Nothing gave Bob greater pleasure than watching his grand kids ride their go carts and horses through the woods. He also loved all the holiday meals and parties spent with family and friends. In addition to his wife, Cherie, he leaves behind his children, Theresa (Rob) Seaberg and John (Amanda) McDonald, as well as his grandchildren, Colby, Morgan and John. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Greg and Tom Liskey, and sister, Marie Daugherty.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 1-3:00 PM, at the Don Rea Post VFW #8846, 1061 Witham Dr., Muskegon, MI 49445. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Pound Buddies in Muskegon. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E.
