Mr. Robert A. "Mac" McDonald's Obituary
Mr. Robert A. “Pinky”, “Mac” McDonald, 85, passed away at home Sunday, March 30, 2014. Born December 12, 1928 to Jay Earl and Mildred (Boozer) McDonald, he was a life resident of Muskegon. He married the former Beverly Cottrell, and she died January 6, 2007. Bob was retired from Bennett Pump Co., had worked part-time for Professional Ambulance Service for many years, and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. His SURVIVORS include his children: Scott (Marsha) McDonald of Midland, Jeffrey (Kelley) McDonald of Norton Shores, and Susan Curtis of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His parents, wife, Beverly, and a brother and sister preceded him in death. A CELEBRATION OF MAC’S LIFE will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2014 at First Congregational Church (1201 Jefferson St.) with Rev. Timothy D. VanderHaar officiating and interment in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION will be one hour to the service at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, Inc. would be appreciated.
