Mr. Robert L. McGruther's Obituary
Mr. Robert L. McGruther, 84, passed away March 18, 2020. He was born December 4, 1935 to Willilam and Emmabelle (Tagle) McGruther in Muskegon, and was a life resident. He had worked at CWC and Meijers, and was a member of the Fruitport Eagles. He enjoyed working on cars, camping and most of all he loved being with his family. A special thankyou to great-grandson Nathaniel for all of your help and care of Papa while he was sick. On June 19, 1965 he married Barbara A. Gilbert, and she survives him along with 3 sons: Daniel (Penny) Schropp, James (Kay) Schropp, David (Cindy) Schropp; 7 grand, 17 great-grand, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Lillian, Linda and Judy. He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak concerning social distancing, a private family service will be held. There will be a public memorial service in the summer. Contributions in memory of Mr. McGruther may be made to the family c/o Barb McGruther.
