Robert L. McKerroll's Obituary
Mr. Robert Lorne McKerroll III, age 60, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on February 12, 1960 and he was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Norie McKerroll. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of St. Patrick – St. Anthony Catholic Church. He loved music and enjoyed attending concerts, especially 70’s and 80’s rock. Bob was the commissioner of the Frog Nuts Fantasy Football League and he was an avid University of Michigan fan. He cherished his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Bob will be remembered as a loving and caring man with a generous heart. On March 5, 1999, Bob married the former Staci M. Smith and she survives him along with four children, Bobby (Christi) McKerroll, Patrick (Hope) McKerroll, Justin (Mary) Stevens, and Jessica Stevens; four grandchildren, Caius, Carter, Mars, and Arie; brother, Todd McKerroll; sister, Melissa Francis; and many nieces and nephews. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic – St. Anthony Catholic Church, 920 Fulton St., Grand Haven, with Rev. Charles Schwartz presiding. VISITATION will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417. In honoring Bob’s love of The University of Michigan, we ask that you please come as you are, and please dress in your favorite Michigan attire. Due to state restrictions, masks will be required and a maximum of 50 persons indoors will be allowed. Please be courteous with the time spent with the family as others will be waiting to see them.
