Robert James Otworth's Obituary
Robert James "Bob" Otworth, age 76, passed away on December 18, 2024. Bob was born to James and Thelma (Huber) Otworth on October 15, 1948, in Muskegon, Michigan. Bob was a graduate of Ravenna High School. After high school he pursued further education in welding and eventually pursued a career as a skilled welder, working for Gilbert and Riplo in Ravenna for many years. Bob married his wife, Linda, in 1978 in Muskegon Michigan. Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener. He shared his passions with others by opening his own fishing guide company, “Bob’s Fish-On,” and teaching his loved ones everything he knew about gardening. Bob enjoyed hanging out and working on the farm with his friends Chuck and Jimmy. He also had an extra special relationship with his great-grandson, Hoyt, who he adored.
Bob will be dearly missed by those closest to him including his wife, Linda Otworth; son Michael (Deborah) Dawson; grandchildren, Jacqui Dawson, Leslie (Shawn) Sadler, Alexandra Dawson, and Elizabeth Dawson; great-grandchildren, Nora and Hoyt; sister, Patricia Fraser; nephews, Richard D. Otworth and Scott Fraser; nieces Barbie Otworth and Cathy Fraser; and special friends Chuck Morey and Jimmy Lewis. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Jaimee Otworth, and brother-in-law, Ross Fraiser.
Bob will be laid to rest at McNitt Cemetery in Conkin, Michigan. Arrangements entrusted to The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St. Ravenna, Michigan 49415.
