Robert A. Peterson's Obituary
Robert A. Peterson, age 72, passed away on March 31, 2024, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born in Muskegon, on February 21, 1952, to Robert and Cora (Goodrich) Peterson. He graduated from North Muskegon High School and went on to Muskegon Community College and earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Bob worked through the ranks at North Muskegon Police Department before retiring in 1997 as a Sergeant. Bob was an US Army Reservist and served in the US Coast Guard for 10+ years. Bob continued to serve his community through his roll on the North Muskegon City Council and by flying for Muskegon County. He also rose to Master Mason in the Muskegon Masonic Lodge 140. Bob enjoyed boating, sailing, canoeing and downhill skiing in his younger days. He married his wife, Linda S. (Kennert) Peterson, on December 29, 2000, at Muskegon United Methodist Church. Robert is survived by his wife, Linda Peterson; children, Eric (Marisa) Peterson and Adam (Kristin) Peterson; stepchildren, Chris Middlecamp and Stacy (Jeff Lukaart) Middlecamp; grandchildren; Charlotte, Graham, William, Penelope, Lux, Jack, Tommy, and Eva. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Cora Peterson; and sister, Barb Fossmo. In lieu of flowers the family asks you consider donating to the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
