My deepest sympathy to the Purcell family. Many fond memories of Bob teaching all of us younger kids in the neighborhood the rights and wrongs of baseball and football. A lot of the kids on the sand lot across the street had Bobs last name?? What a GANG!

I remember the ball games in the empty lots between Washington and Franklin streets in the 1400 block before all the building were built there. Bob gave me my first black eye while playing ball---I did not duck from an inside pitch fast enough!
My thoughts and prayers are with the family especially at this time.
