Mr Robert Edward Riegler's Obituary
Mr. Robert Edward Riegler, age 82, of Muskegon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. He was born on July 17,1934 in Muskegon to Leo and Irene (Valley) Riegler. Robert was a lifelong resident of Muskegon where he owned and operated the Leo Riegler Corp for 28 years. In 1975, he married Judith (Smith) Plamondon, and the two enjoyed 40 years together. Robert was known for being a joker and a flirt, with a great sense of humor, and a large collection of copper music boxes. He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Susan (Lee) Raab, Tracey Vermeulen, Sandra (Jim) McGill, Dina Bates, Steven Riegler, Leasha (Mike) Johnson, Robert (Kathy) Smith, Ryan Smith, Lee (Randy) Wilcox and Randy (Tricia) Smith; sisters, Jacqueline Walukonis, Joan (John) Walukonis, Dorothy Wright, Rose Marie Riegler, and Mary (Brad) Buckley; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas and David Riegler; and son's-in-law, Ken Bates and Rich Walukonis. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 5 PM, Thursday, September 1 ,2016 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St, 231-798-1100 with Pastor John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, September 6, at 1 PM.
