Mr. Robert "Bob" Roll's Obituary
Mr. Robert “Bob” Roll, age 61, loving husband and father, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, November 8, 2014. He was born September 26, 1953 in Covington, KY to Norbert and Barbara (Kennedy) Roll. Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served his country for 4 years. He graduated from the Cincinnati Art Academy with a graphic design degree and spent 34 years in the packaging industry, most recently with International Paper. Bob was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as Bishop of the Spring Lake Ward. On August 30, 1980 he married Lori Nelson in Las Vegas, NV and she survives him along with 4 children: Adam (Katie) Roll of Lowell, MI, Kerrie (Brandon) Johnson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Marie and Maggie Roll both of Spring Lake; beloved Papa to 6 grandchildren; his parents: Norbert and Barbara Roll of Daytona Beach, FL; 4 brothers; 5 sisters; and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Spring Lake Ward, 18975 168th Ave., Spring Lake, MI 49456. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday (today) at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Burial will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery.
