Mr. Robert Leo Sadler's Obituary
Mr. Robert Leo Sadler, age 92, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Muskegon. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on April 8, 1921 to Leo and Vivian (Male) Sadler. Bob was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in WWII and the Korean War. Bob was part of the Jimmy Doolittle Raid Task Force on Japan on April 18, 1942. When he returned home, he worked as a Service Manager for Michcon before his retirement. He was a member of the Vikings, the Elks, the Eagles, the Catholic War Vets, VFW Post #446, and the American Legion. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Nazmy) Khalil; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Ted (Barbara) Sadler; 1 sister, Margaret Knapp; 1 brother-in-law, Bill Perry; 1 sister-in-law, Sally Bialek; many nieces and nephews and special nephew, Randy (Debra) Knapp. He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Kay (Brown) Sadler and Martha J. (Pickle) Sadler; his son, Bobbie Sadler; 1 sister, Pat Perri; and special friend, Marjory Kuehnl. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 1:00 PM Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Aaron Ferris presiding. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Bob’s name may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
