Mr. Robert Seeger's Obituary
Mr. Robert Seeger, age 82, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on April 20, 1931 to Wesley and Ruth (Potter) Seeger. Mr. Seeger was a veteran of the United States Army. He had worked for Fruitport Community Schools as a teacher for over 30 years before his retirement. Bob was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He enjoyed volunteering with the Red Cross and spent many years as a driver’s education instructor with Fruitport Schools. He loved to hunt, fish, and socialize with his friends. On February 26, 1953, Bob married the former Faye J. VanVleet in Muskegon and she survives him along with two children, David Wesley (Theresann) Seeger of Chicago, IL and Michelle Seeger of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Tony, and Nick Goulet and Wesley and Steven Hiltner and two sisters, Rosemary Jones and Mary Huizenga. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Ann Hiltner; his parents; three brothers and two sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Miller officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565. MEMORIALS in Bob’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
