Mr. Robert Thomson "Rob" Kohl's Obituary
Mr. Robert Thomson “Rob” Kohl, 66, passed unexpectedly at his home. Born April 6, 1948 in Owatenna, MN to Charles and Isabella “Bell” (Thomson) Kohl, he was a US Army veteran of the Viet Nam Era. Rob had been a Funeral Director at Cook Funeral Homes in Grandville, MI prior to retiring, and was a member of the Muskegon Eagles Lodge. His SURVIVORS include his wife, the former Connie May; a daughter, Heidi (Chad) Quam of Owatanna, MN; a sister, Hope (Bill) Meschke of Rochester, MN; a niece and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by his parents. Rob loved cars and boats, and enjoyed solving “handyman” problems. VISITATION with Rob’s family will be 2-3 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2015, followed by A FUNERAL SERVICE at 3:00 P.M. at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, phone 231-798-1100. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
