Robert A. Tolar's Obituary
Robert Allen Tolar, age 90, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018. He was born May 15, 1927 in Muskegon to William and Dorothy (Hollstrom) Tolar. Bob was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and owned and operated AAA Builders for many years. On November 29, 1946 he married the former Barbara Scott in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on February 22, 1996. SURVIVORS include 2 children: William Tolar, Sr. and Judith Kinney; son-in-law, Jim Plichta; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Sieradzki; and special friend, Colleen Singleton. He was also preceded in death by 4 children: Kathy Plichta, Robert (Gale) Tolar, Linda Tolar, and infant son, Robert Tolar, Jr.; brother, William “Bud” (Joyce) Tolar; sister, Betty (Steve) Korbecki; half-brother, George; and brother-in-law, Steve Sieradzki. SERVICES will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at First Congregational Church with Rev. Tim Vander Haar officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in East Hesperia Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the First Congregational Church will be appreciated.
