Robert John Winicki's Obituary
Mr. Robert John Winicki, age 86, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 17, 1930 to Martin and Catherine (Mondala) Winicki. Bob proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He had been employed by Shaw Walker for 43 years before his retirement in 1992. Bob was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, the Catholic War Vets, Disabled American Veterans and Muskegon Catholic Central Athletic Club. He enjoyed golfing and playing cards. On January 28, 1956, Bob married the former Maryann Stuparits in Muskegon and she survives him along with their three children, Debra (Kevin) Bedwin, Robert M. (Kathy) Winicki and Greg (Rosemary) Winicki; six grandchildren, Heather Bedwin, Kaylan (Jacob) Vink and Kendra, Austin, Ryan and Shannon Winicki; two brothers, Kenneth and Jerry Winicki; two sisters, Connie Thomas and Carol (Joseph) Firlet and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ted, Bernie, Edward and David Winicki and four sisters, Virginia Chiambretti, Evelyn Taylor, Dolores Winicki and Margie Dennis. A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Michaels Catholic Church (1716 6th St., Muskegon) with Rev. Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. VISITATION will be one hour prior to his service. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Bob’s name may be directed to St. Michaels Catholic Church.
