Robert "Bob" Woodard's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Woodard, 91, of Spring Lake, passed away April 17, 2026, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Robert was born on June 3, 1934. He married Marilyn, and they enjoyed a special love story for more than 62 years. Robert served in the U.S. Army, and later built a successful career in quality control for multiple aerospace technology corporations.
Robert's greatest passions were his family and golf. Known for their warmth, Robert and Marilyn's home was always filled with family and friends. Together they had a gift for making everyone feel like part of the family. A lifetime golfer, Robert earned a hole-in-one at age 86, accomplished at the prestigious Eisenhower Silver Course at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. His special (honorary daughter) Malia Alstrom was with him that day. For more than 50 years, Robert chaired the Elks Lodge Christmas Basket Program. He was admired throughout the lodge for his faithful service, quiet leadership, and deep commitment to helping others. As Robert liked to say, "You pays your nickel, you takes your ride"! What a ride he had! Forever in our hearts.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Christi Woodard (Mark Ringlever), Jacquelyn Woodard-Russell, Amy Lindenbaum (who preceded her parents in death); niece, Shannon Locke; grandchildren, Jacob Russell, Nathan Lindenbaum (Lauren),
Emily Apone (Dan), Logan Locke, and five great-grandchildren.
According to his wishes, there will be no services.
