Robert A. Zorn's Obituary
Robert A. Zorn, age 86, passed away at home on Thursday, June 10, 2021. He was born on February 13, 1935, to Glenn and Grace (Pastoor) Zorn in Muskegon. Bob attended Forest Park Covenant Church. He worked at Fruitport Schools for 33 years as a teacher, guidance counselor, sports coach, and announcer for FHS football, for which he was inducted in the Fruitport Athletics Hall of Fame. He was loved by all. Bob enjoyed jogging, reading, and golfing. On August 6, 1983, he married Carol Clark in Muskegon. She survives him, along with their five children, Andy Zorn, Jennifer (Stew) Gray, Peter (Dana) Zorn, Melony (Marv) Dixon, and Julie (Brian) Hutchison; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Edythe (Rich) Wierda. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles and Jack; sister, Carole Zorn; daughter, Tonya (Nelson) Finley, and great-grandson, Alexander Hutchison. Bob’s family would like to give a special thanks to his caregiver, Caron. VISITATION with the family will take place from 3:00 – 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, and 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Bob will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Harbor Hospice Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter. BURIAL will take place at Norton Cemetery.
