Mr. Robert C. Zuidema, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Robert C. Zuidema, Sr., 73, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born August 26, 1942 to Albert and Francis (VanderWeg) Zuidema in Muskegon, and lived most of his life here. Robert worked as a truck driver and mechanic for Consumer’s Concrete before retiring. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. On May 20, 1967 he married Susan L. Wallace, and she survives him along with 5 children, Michelle (John) Kamhout, Robert Zuidema, Jr., Sue (Tim) Keith, Susan Zuidema, and Malinda Zuidema; 6 grandchildren, Amber, Steve, Heather (Cody), Melissa, Jordan and Elizabeth; 3 great-grandchildren, Aydin, Kristina and Jaxen. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother Albert Zuidema; and 1 sister Alice Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 28, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210. Visitation will be from 6:00 -8:00 PM Wednesday, April 27, also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
