Roberta L. McLaughlin's Obituary
Roberta L. McLaughlin, age 86, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Muskegon. She was born in Chicago, IL on May 24, 1929 to Robert E. and Isabel (Buss) McLaughlin and had moved to the Muskegon area in 1948. Roberta had worked as a lab technician at SD Warren for 44 years before retiring in 1994. She had previously worked in the office at Sealed Power. Roberta was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was proud of her home, having designed and drawn the floorplans herself, and enjoyed caring for her landscaping. In her younger days, Roberta loved to travel. During the two week down time at the mill, Roberta and her dear friends, “the twins”, Eleanor and Rosemary, would travel by car to various destinations in the United States. They enjoyed going to Nevada, Quebec, Florida Keys, and many places in between. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Dona McLaughlin; nieces and nephews and a special friend, Barbara Saint Denis. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Eugene “Bud” McLaughlin and Robert E. McLaughlin; and one sister, Vivian Sundeen. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 24, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her Mass with the ROSARY prayed at 10:00 AM. For a more lasting MEMORIAL, please consider Harbor Hospice (1050 W.
