Mrs. Roberta Taylor's Obituary
Mrs. Roberta Taylor passed away August 28, 2012. Mrs. Taylor was born in Hope, Arkansas on December 24, 1927 to Edgar and Celia (Maxwell) Stewart. She has lived in Muskegon for 67 years. Roberta was president and treasurer for many church and social community organizations. She was a member of New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board. Roberta worked many years for Ryerson Creek Produce Company until retirement. She is SURVIVED by her children, Glen Taylor Jr., Bertha Broach, Laura Stevenson, Christine Miles, Emma Brunette, Bobby Taylor, Larry Taylor and David Taylor; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Taylor, Sr.; sons, Johnny Taylor and Dennis Ray Taylor; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Willie Maxwell and Ed Stewart; sisters, Ola B. Moorehead-Smith and Alice Williams. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, (2117 Baker Street, Muskegon Hts.) with Rev. Allen Ray Bolton officiating. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum. VISITATION with the family will be 2-6 PM Sunday, September 2, 2012 and 4-6 PM Monday, September 3, 2012 with a WAKE at 6-8 PM Monday at the
