Robert B. Westjohn, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Robert B. Westjohn, Jr., age 63, died after a long illness, Monday, November 14, 2005. He was born February 12, 1942 in Cadillac, MI to Robert & Dorothea (Granger) Westjohn, Sr., and had resided in the area most of his life. Mr. Westjohn had worked at the B.C. Cobb Plant as a maintenance supervisor for over 30 years, before retiring in 2001, and was a member of the Mona Lake Boat Club. He loved going to his cabin up north, playing around with his antique cars, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. In October of 1987 he married the former Pat VanEtten, and she survives him along with 4 sons, Scott (Jill) Westjohn, Todd Westjohn both of Muskegon, Ed (Kristen) Keeter of Grand Rapids, Robb (Denise) Keeter of West Point, NY; daughter, Deana (Eric) Anderson of Muskegon; grandchildren, Stacy, Derek, and Stephanie Westjohn; Kylee and Caden Anderson; Rachel, Matthew, Timothy, Erik, and John Keeter; mother, Dorothea (Westjohn) Kohlbeck; sisters, Sharon (Harold) Hans, Lana Bartels, Cindy (Tom) Polanyi, and Julaine (Armando) Caceres; brother, Chandler (Thy) Westjohn; 1st wife, Carol Westjohn; and step-mother, Beverly Westjohn. Mr. Westjohn was preceded in death by his father, Robert Westjohn, Sr.; and step-father, Robert Kohlbeck. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 12:30 PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday. Memorial Contributions to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana, or First Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
