Robert "Bob" Garrow's Obituary
Robert “Bob” George Garrow, 77, of Harlingen, TX, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Texas. Robert was born December 12, 1928 in Grand Haven, MI to William and Hazel Garrow. On March 13, 1951 he married Sharon Bishop in Crown Point, IN; she passed away October 19, 1990.
After serving his country with the Air Force for 9 years as a Staff Sergeant he did various construction jobs. He was also an owner/operator of Garrow Construction with his son. Robert retired in 1989 and moved to Harlingen, TX in 1999.
He is survived by his children, Roberta Garrow of Harlingen, TX, Randy and Peggy TenHarmsel of Holland, Randy Garrow of Grand Haven, Larry Garrow of Stark, FL and Steve and Cindy Garrow of Grand Haven; brothers, Andy & Phyllis of Nunica, Dan and Mary of Grand Haven, Fred & Debbie of Columbia, TN; and a sister, Mary & Lyle Rolfe of Spring Lake. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, February 27, 2006 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home with a Chapel service at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at Lake Forest Cemetery. Share memories with the family at their online guest book at www.vbkfuneralhome.com.
