Robert D. "Bob" Anderson's Obituary
Mr. Robert D. “Bob” Anderson, age 81, passed away early Thursday morning, December 1, 2011. He was born December 23, 1929 to Carl A. and Marie J. (Kuhlman) Anderson in Holland, MI and moved to Muskegon 60 years ago. Bob worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company for 34 years, retiring in 1986, and was a member of Calvary Church. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. On June 23, 1951 he married A. Christine Watkins in Washington, D.C. SURVIVORS include his wife Christine; 3 children, Kathy McQueen of Muskegon, Sandy (Tim) Shugars of Terre Haute, IN, Debbie (Jerry) Spier of Norton Shores; 6 grandchildren, Jerry (Dawn) Showers, Mike Shugars, Lindsay Shugars, Lisa (Judah) Siefert, Valerie (Jason) Kropf, Brian (Alicia) Spier; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruth (Casey) Medendorp of Coldwater. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 4, at Calvary Church in Fruitport, with Pastor Bill Rudd officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service.
