Robert E. Ashley's Obituary
Mr. Robert E. Ashley, age 59, died Monday afternoon, October 31, 2005, at Mercy Hospital. He was born October 6, 1946 in Muskegon to Edward & Mary Genevieve (Oswald) Ashley and had been a life resident of the area. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran and had been employed as a Senior Engineer for over 25 years at L3 Communication. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, the former Pamela Thompson; children, Nichole Ashley and Brenda Jaso of Muskegon and Chris (Patrice) VanSlightenhorst of WA; grandchildren, Tyler, Garret & Madison; brothers, Richard (Rose Marie Konopa, dec’d) Ashley and Thomas Ashley and by a sister, Lois (Harold) Larabee. He was preceded in death by his parents. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 7, 2005, at the Sytsema Funeral Home 737 Apple Avenue 231-726-5210 with Pastor John Frank of Grace Memorial Baptist Church officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. For a more lasting MEMORIAL you are asked to consider the Muskegon Humane Society.
