Robert E. Collins' Obituary
Robert E. Collins died Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the Scolnik/Hackley VNS Hospice House from complications of emphysema. He was born in Muskegon on August 26, 1930 to Dr. Arthur and Mrs. Velma Collins. He served in the US Navy from 1948-1952 as a water survival dive instructor and later a radio technician. Mr. Collins married Barbara Jean Gelinas in Muskegon at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on June 15, 1956. He leaves his wife; one son, Robert Arthur Collins of Ft. Meyers, FL; and 4 grandchildren. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 3 PM Sunday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Fr. Joe Ashby officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made thru the Community Foundation for Muskegon County to the Muskegon River Watershed Restoration Fund or to the Collins Music Fund.
