Robert E. "Bob" Jensen's Obituary
Mr. Robert E. “Bob” Jensen, 52, passed away Monday morning surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born February 8, 1959 in Grand Haven to Robert C. and Doris M. (Forrester) Jensen. Bob graduated from Spring Lake High School, and Ferris State University with a BA degree , and worked for several companies in Sales Management of industrial and commercial products, which took him to Indiana, Wisconsin, and Arizona before he returned to this area. He was an American Legion Rider, and remained active with the Ferris Alumni Assn. and his fraternity, Phi Sigma Kappa’s Alumni Assn. He loved riding his Harley, hunting and fishing. His SURVIVORS include his children, Clayton Daniel Jensen of Richmond, IN and Amanda Johnette Jensen of Muskegon; mother, Doris Jensen of Muskegon; brothers: William (Linda) VanderWall of Katherine Landing, AZ, John “Jack” (Peggy) Jensen of Puyallup, WA, Kurt Jensen of Houston, TX, and Kent (Kacy) Jensen of Depoe Bay, OR; sisters: Claudia (Carl) Bajema of Grand Rapids, Kathy (Don) Struve of Grand Haven, Sue (Gery) Gagnon of Santee, CA, and Joy (Tom) Frazier of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Jensen and two sisters, Jane and Cynthia Jensen. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Mr. Jensen will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231/-798-1100 with Rev. Fr. Matthew Barnum officiating and interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be 6-8 P.M. Wednesday (tonight) and 10-11 A.M. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to his children’s Education Fund.
