Robert J. McGibbon's Obituary
Mr. Robert J. McGibbon, age 89, passed away September 1, 2010 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on June 13, 1921 to Percy and Mable (Breinig) McGibbon in Chicago, IL. Mr. McGibbon served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. He had a love for his Mustang and was known as “Mustang Bob”. On February 27, 1996 he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy. SURVIVORS include daughter, Rosemary (Daniel) Snow and son-in-law, Elmer Ogg, 8 grandchildren, Michael Rhodes, Melissa Rhodes, Robert Moulds, Kathy Moulds, Kelly Olson, Kevin Ogg, Tammy Bodzianowski, Allen Snow and many special great grandchildren. His two special companions, Buddy and Smokey. He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Vicki Ogg and sister, Patricia Rick. THE MILITARY FUNERAL SERVICE will take place 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St 231-798-1100 with Marilyn Rottschafer officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Mausoleum. MEMORIALS to the Poppen House of Harbor Hospice would be appreciated.
