I was so sorry to hear about Robert's passing. We just got a letter today from Marilyn Dykstra letting us know. Please know that we are praying for you and all your family. I was saddened when I recently found out Robert had passed away.
I was a PT assistant for Muskegon Public Schools, and helped Robert with his daily exercises on the mat. Though he wasn't very fond of coming to PT, we tried to make it fun for him.
I am happy to see what a nice young man he grew up to be.

My heart goes out to you all. Robert and i were the same age and to think what he had accomplished at our age is amazing. He is an inspiration to us all. Robert and i always got on so well together. He always made me laugh and always made me smile. I will always remember our time together every time i came to the usa. From the time we were two years old together and lying on the floor watching cartoons until now sitting together looking at photos from the past and remembering all the good and happy times we all had. We are so saddened by the loss of Robert. His life was such a struggle, but such a triumph as well! I remember his first steps, and how excited we were (remember, I was in your living room with you, Patty). But I also remember how our hearts grieved when we learned of his illness and the toll it would take. To think that he accomplished so much - all through the unconditional grace of God and the unyielding love and support of his family. We so mourn his loss, but celebrate his life. Now he is free.
