Robert John Schultz, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Robert John Schultz, Sr., age 73, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at his home in Muskegon. He was born on October 6, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Ralph and Esther (Johnson) Schultz. Mr. Schultz was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had owned and operated West Michigan Fence before his retirement and had also worked at Muskegon Brake and Arnold’s Auto Glass. Bob had been active in the American Bowling Association and the Lions Club. He enjoyed NASCAR, golf, bowling and spending time with his grandchildren. On July 11, 1980, Bob married the former Donna Bray and she survives him along with 4 children, Robert John (Cheryl) Schultz, Jr., Randy (Karlee) Schultz, Deb Langlois, Marie (Rick) Jones; 4 step-children, Larry (Kim) Luce, Jr., Vic (Mary) Luce, Darren Luce, Tracey (Roger) Cochran; 25 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his former wife, Mildred Reaves; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother. SERVICES will be 11:00a.m. Thursday at Kainay Community Church with Pastor Charles R. Hackney officiating. VISITATION will be from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00p.m. Wednesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. INTERMENT will be in Egelston Township Cemetery with military honors performed under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council. MEMORIALS in Bob’s name may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
