Robert Junior Grabinski's Obituary
Mr. Robert J. Grabinski, age 74, passed away May 16, 2009 at a local hospital. He was born on May 25, 1934 to Chester and Florence (Redden) Grabinski in Muskegon. He was a member Shelby Wesleyan Church. Bob worked as a machinist for Sealed Power prior to his retirement in 1987. Bob served as a jet engine mechanic in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Boy Scout leader and served Decolores weekends. Bob was a volunteer for Egelston Twp. Fire Department for 15 years, working his way up to serve as Captain. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Robert (Shawn) Grabinski of N. Muskegon, Cheryl (Michael) Nellett of Muskegon, Mark (fiancé, Brenda) Grabinski of Montana and Patti Grabinski of Ludington; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; cousin, Beverly (Pat) Rahn, sister-in-law Sandra West, close friends, Bill and Gloria Mann; and constant companion, Gidget. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 1PM Wednesday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Rob Henderson officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS may be directed to Shelby Wesleyan Church.
