Robert M. Richardson's Obituary
Mr. Robert (Bob) M. Richardson of Muskegon, age 83, passed away October 6, 2010 after a very short illness. Born to Roy Leonard Richardson and Hilia (Peggy) Murtonen on April 5, 1927. He was a graduate of the class of 1945 from Ishpeming High School. (Go Hematites). During WWII he served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany where he met the love of his life, Ingeborg E. Brode. They were married on August 18, 1947. They bore two sons, Roy R. Richardson of Shelbyville, MI, and Gary A. Richardson of Muskegon, MI. He was dedicated to his family and loved them very much, though he sometimes had a hard time expressing himself. He will be missed by friends and family. He has joined his wife Ingeborg in heaven as she preceded his death by 39 years. His passion in life was reading the Bible and Bowling (How he loved the game). SURVIVORS include his children, Roy Richardson of Shelbyville, MI, Gary (Meg) Richardson of Muskegon; daughter-in-law, Kathy Richardson of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Sherry (Dave) Ogren, Robert S. Richardson, Michael (Mackenzie) Richardson, all of Muskegon; 5 great-grandchildren, Megan Richardson, Kaylyn Richardson, Tori Wright, Ryan Ulmer, and Avery Richardson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, October 9, at Christ Community Congregational Church, 45 S. Green Creek Rd., N. Muskegon, with Pastor Ben Jansen officiating. He will be laid to rest in Laketon Township Cemetery next to his loving wife.
