Robert N. Robidoux's Obituary
Mr. Robert N. Robidoux, age 75, died early Sunday morning, December 27, 2009, at his home. He was born May 4, 1934 in Muskegon Heights to Earl and Marybelle (Rousell) Robidoux and has been a life resident of the area. Bob retired in 1996 from Brunswick Corporation as a production packer, where he had been employed 44 years. He attended Christian Life Center and enjoyed being an avid hunter and fisherman. On October 19, 1957 he married the former Carol Walker and together they owned and operated the Robidoux Adult Foster Care facility for many years. SURVIVORS include his wife, Carol; 3 daughters, Annette Robidoux of Fruitport, Darlene (Keith) Cyr and Michele Robidoux of Fruitport, 7 grandchildren, Bonnie, Jordan, Matthew, Justin, Jeff, Kayla and Samantha; 3 great-grandchildren, Brendan, Bailey and Ocean; and by 1 brother, Ronald (Louise) Robidoux of Muskegon. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon “Cheri” in 1972; his son, Russell A. in 2006, his granddaughter, Rosalee “Rosie” Hooker in 2009 and by his brother, Earl “Bud” Robidoux. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Bob Robidoux will be 11 AM Thursday, December 31, 2009 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100)with Pastor Curtis McClain officiating. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION with Bob’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Wednesday. For a more lasting memorial, you are asked to consider Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital (Child Life Services) in memory of Rosie Hooker or the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
