Roberto "Robert" Revilla's Obituary
Roberto Revilla, age 63, passed away at home Tuesday afternoon, June 28, 2011 following a long illness. He was born in Alice, TX on February 18, 1948 to Macario and Brigida (Ramirez) Revilla and moved to Muskegon as a young man. He married the former Cynthia Gordon in Muskegon on October 6, 1984. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from the Michigan National Guard as First Sergeant and was a member of the Marine Corps League and VFW Post 446. Robert was employed as a journeyman millwright at Howmet for 35 years retiring in 2005. He enjoyed working in his yard, camping, woodworking, music and traveling. Robert especially enjoyed going on cruises and conversing with the many people he would meet along the way. Robert will be missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, sister, extended family and friends. Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of life open house, tomorrow, Friday 12 O’ Clock Noon to 2 P.M. at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100. Visiting hours will conclude with Military Rites under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Honor Guard.
