Robert Paul Passinault's Obituary
Robert Paul Passinault, age 73, passed away Saturday evening, February 5, 2005, at a local hospital, following a long illness. Bob was born July 1, 1931 in Norway, MI , and had resided in the Muskegon area since 1957. He married the former Bonnie Lou Brandt in Grand Rapids on January 22, 1955. He served his Country proudly in the U.S. Army. Bob was the co-owner of Airline Paint & Decorators Showcase for over 35 years prior to his retirement. Bob was recognized within his industry as a creative and innovative retailer. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and also active for many years in the DeColores movement. Bob was also a life member and past president of the Mona Shores Optimist Club. He is SURVIVED by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Lou; 5 children, Gary (Penelope) Passinault of Norton Shores, Dan (Gina) Passinault of Pittsburgh, PA, Penny Sowa of Norton Shores, Cindy (Jim) Vresics of Norton Shores, and Karen (Dave) Newman of New Canaan, Ct.; 9 grandchildren, Patricia Passinault, Robert Jared Passinault, Jamie Passinault, Jeremy Sowa, Shaun Poe, Maria Vresics, Christina Vresics, Cameron Newman, and Courteney Newman; a great grandchild, Paige Mullen; a brother, Dr. William (Mary) Passinault of Grand Rapids; and many, many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Janet and Alsid Passinault.
