Robert "Tommy" Lane II's Obituary
Mr. Robert “Tommy” Lane II, age 79, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at home. He was born January 31, 1929 in Muskegon to Asa and Lucille (Rahn) Lane and has lived in the area his entire life. He was a member of the Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame and a former member of the board. He loved to watch racing and tell stories from years ago. Mr. Lane was a member of the Teamsters Union He married Ruth Bellah in Muskegon and they enjoyed many years together before she passed away February 19, 1986. Mr. Lane is survived by 2 daughters Pamela Bryant of Muskegon, and Sharon Gates of Coopersville, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 sister, Virginia Cofield of N. C. He was preceded in death by his son Robert “Robby” Lane III, in 2003 and son-in-law Roger Bryant, in 2006. Visitation with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday, December 29, 2008 at
