Rock Cash Mudge's Obituary
Mr. Rock Cash Mudge, age 58, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his home. Rock was born May 8, 1957 to Elsworth and Alice (Burley) Mudge in Muskegon. On June 5, 1999 he married the former Bonnie J. Tharrett. He was employed as a tool and die maker until being disabled in 2004. He was a member of LifeChange Church where he served as usher and participated in home bible study groups. He had a very strong love of the Lord and was willing to share and celebrate his great faith in Jesus Christ with others. He was part of Westshore DeColores #1 and was rector at DeColores #78, "The Anchor Holds". Rock loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing and birdwatching. He also enjoyed watching and ranting about sports on TV. Rock is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Blake Mudge of Muskegon Heights, Madison and Tyler Mudge, both at home; Kyle Rayle of Norton Shores, and Amanda (Thomas) Shaneberger of Grand Rapids; his grandsons, Emmett and Elijah Shaneberger; his brothers, Mike (Jaci) Mudge, Robin (Sherry) Houghton; sisters, Cheri (Dave) VandenBosh and Carla (Gary) Hoffmeyer; his stepfather, Ivan Houghton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 26, 2015 at LifeChange Church, 3084 Whitehall Road with Pastor Ron Rands officiating. Celebrate Rock’s memory by wearing your favorite Michigan sports attire to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
