Mr. Rodger D. Parsons' Obituary
Mr. Rodger D. Parsons, age 58, passed away Monday morning, May 28, 2012. He was born August 7, 1953 in Muskegon to Floyd and Bernice (Hart) Parsons. Rodger worked for Tridonn Construction for many years and most recently for WinBerg Construction. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. On November 4, 1994 he married the former Lori K. Mecher in Las Vegas, NV and she survives him along with his son, Michael Parsons of Muskegon; 2 step-children, Adam Corlew of Grand Haven, Taylor Corlew of Fruitport Twp.; mother, Bernice Parsons of Fruitport; 2 brothers, Ron (Sylvia) Parsons of Fruitport, Randy Parsons of Ravenna; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Parsons. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Friday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.Harvey St.,(231) 798-1100, with the Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Donations to the family to help defray funeral expenses will be appreciated.
