Mr. Rodger "Dually" Scott's Obituary
Mr. Rodger Wayne Scott, age 51, passed away at his home early Saturday morning, July 11, 2015. Rodger was born June 11, 1964 in Muskegon to Richard Walter and Carol Ann (Gangwer) Scott. Rodger was a graduate of Muskegon High School. On July 8, 1995 Rodger married the former Teresa Lynn Reyes and she survives him. He had worked as a metal finisher for Green’s Metal Finishing, Port City Industrial Finishing, and later as owner and operator of Muskegon Industrial Finishing. Rodger “Dually” loved to drag race, ride his Harley, camp, and attend car shows and swap meets. He was a member of Fruitport Eagles and the ABATE. Most of all, Rodger loved being with his family and will be dearly missed by Teresa, his wife of 20 years; his children, Christine (Marquell) Wilkinson, Ashley (Sean Scott) LaVassuer, Rodger Scott II, and Natalynne Scott, all of Muskegon; grandchildren, Rolondo, Shamori, Marquell Jr., and Sienna Wilkinson, Dominic Colegrove and Kamryn Scott; brothers, Rick Scott, Ryan (Linda) Scott, Ross Scott, and Robert Scott, all of Muskegon; sister, Kendal Scott of Muskegon; mother-in-law, Marcia Reyes; father-in-law, Rey (Kris) Reyes; brothers-in-law, Rey (Lina) Reyes, and Mike Reyes; sisters-in-law, Stephanie (Billy) Greenawalt, and Andrea (Levi) LaLonde; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Dale Joleman, Mark Graves, Chip Norwood, and Victor Olivieri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Walter and Carol Ann (Gangwer) Scott; a sister-in-law, Carla Reyes, and best friend, Mike McDermott. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. with Rev. Aaron Hinton officiating. VISITATION will be held Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Interment will be in Egelston Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
