As a boy, I remember seeing Roger while awaiting dad's [Andy] return to the shop (Anderson Plumbing) on Peck St to pick him up. My mother [Gert] was proud of Roger and told me many of his exploits while in that dirt parking lot in our 1960 Ford station wagon. I greatly admired Roger and did my best to emulate him. He didn't know it, but he was a driving force in my desire to pursue an education.
As the years went by, I always enjoyed Roger's sense of humor and his unique laugh whenever we ran into one another at family functions.
Safe travels my friend . . .

Brother Roger was a loyal and dedicated Mason. He followed in his father's footsteps and was equally involved. He will be missed.

Viktor & Kyle,
My sincerest condolences to you and your families on the news of your father, Roger's passing. He was a great guy with lots of interesting stories about working at Sappi and in Saudi Arabia. He was always passionate about learning more of his Viking heritage. We had a great time breading fish for the fish fries at the Muskegon Masonic Temple. Many good memories and fun times spent with him.
Sincerely,
Jim Peterman
