If ever there is such a thing as "Heaven getting its groove on" that would be March 25th. What an honor to be able to see those you hold near and dear to your heart that have gone before you! I am positive that there was some celebrating going on up above when Roger entered those pearly gates!
I am one lucky woman to have had such a wonderful man in my life! Next month it will be 31 years that we have been married. I am so proud to be your wife and be able to create a home with you.
Roger fought a tough battle daily. He did so with determination and a strong will to live. He got great joy out of making people smile, supporting them in times of need, and just lending a hand whenever he could. He loved his peeps that's for sure! It is now time for Roger to rest. He went to heaven on Wednesday morning surrounded by those he loved with grace and dignity. Tho our hearts are broken, we realize there is no more pain, no more suffering for him, which is a comfort. Roger made wonderful memories with us, we are lucky that he put up with us long enough to make some right? We are a diverse bunch that we call family after all! Telling those stories and sharing some memories keeps Roger alive in our heart and that feels amazing! He has taught me a lot in our life together, but most of all how to appreciate life and to take advantage of what it has to offer, not to shy away from it nor fear a change. Embrace it and move thru it with grace. Not always easy to do right? This is an area I will continue to work on, and make him proud.
There will come a day when it is my turn to go to heaven... Oh man what a thing to anticipate! ROGER HAS A NEW SET OF FEET & IS PAIN FREE! We can dance all day long and tip toe thru the tulips in the light! Among many things I can't wait for! It is not good bye, it is "until I see you again!" Dana said it best.
Forever in my heart, forever on my mind, my cup over flows with love! YOU, Roger Wayne Bulson are the love of my life forever and I am proud to be your wife. Tho you have a brand new address now, I will keep the lights on here at home and those home fires burning bright just like you did. My best friend, my heart.... I love you always!
