Mr. Roger L. Eikenberry's Obituary
Mr. Roger L. Eikenberry, 74, passed away July 26, 2021, at his home. Roger was born June 7, 1947, to Cleatus and Daisy (Bradford) Eikenberry in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident of the greater Muskegon area. He owned Plumbs Supermarkets for over 20 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church. He was instrumental in starting the Unity Christian Music Festival and supported many other local charitable organizations. Roger married his wife Janice on May 2, 1981, and she survives him along with six children: Amy (Rick) Rykse, Scott Martinez, Kevin (Melissa) Eikenberry, Stephen (Heather) Martinez, Lisa (Travis) Leemgraven, Brian (Kimberly) Eikenberry; 23 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Tom (Joan) Eikenberry, David (Vicky) Eikenberry. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: Richard, Robert, and Lawrence. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 3, at 11:00 AM at Forest Park Covenant Church, 3815 Henry St., Norton Shores, 49441. The service will be live streamed. Visitation at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 will be from 5-8 PM Monday, August 2. A private burial will take place at Spring Lake Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Eikenberry may be made to The Harbor Hospice Foundation or the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
