Roger Gerth's Obituary
Mr. Roger Gerth, age 62, died Monday afternoon, November 14, 2005. He was born October 14, 1943 in Adrian, MI to Carl and Wanda (Kuhn) Gerth and had lived in Texas for the past 11 years before moving back to Muskegon one month ago. Mr. Gerth was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War on the U.S.S. Stoddard. He worked for GTE/Verizon for 38 years. On August 20, 1983, he married the former Sally Vosburg in Tecumseh, MI and she survives him along with 3 children, Roger Gerth, Jr. of Brooklyn, MI, Cindi Gerth of Commerce, MI, Amy (Chad) James of North Muskegon; 2 special grandchildren, Parker and Elaina James; brother, Rodney (Denise) Gerth of Rumley, MI; 2 sisters, Chris Wheaton of Adrian, MI, Angie (Otis) Whitmore of Onsted, MI; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Barb Vosburg of North Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Gary Wheaton. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 10:30 AM Friday at
